Nominations are now open for Notable Rising Stars in Health Care Leadership. We are looking for up-and-comers who are innovating and leaving a mark on the Southeast Michigan health care field.
Individuals who have earned a Notable in Michigan Award in the past 12 months are not eligible for this honor. Please review the criteria for consideration before completing the nomination form. Self-nominations are accepted.
To be considered for this award, nominees must:
- Work in the health care industry in an organization with 10 or more employees
- Be a Michigan resident
- Be three levels or more from the CEO but on the path to greater leadership
- Have shown accomplishment in his/her/their role and the ability to effect change
- Have made significant contributions within their industry and/or community
- Be on the path to leadership roles in the industry and/or civic/community organizations to which he/she/they belong
The deadline to nominate a candidate for the 2021 Notable Rising Stars in Health Care Leadership is Monday, July 12. After being nominated, candidates will have until Monday, July 19 to complete a separate application. Please let your nominee know to expect an email from Crain’s Detroit Business inviting them to complete a more detailed candidate form.
Winners will be featured in an October 4 special section of Crain's Detroit Business. Final decisions about who is selected for the special section will be sent directly to candidates by Early-September.

We strive to alert candidates by the date listed above, generally 2 weeks prior to the special section. This is a rough timeframe that involves many factors. Please know that once judging is complete, we will reach out to all candidates regardless of if they were chosen or not. This notification will be an email from firstname.lastname@example.org.
After being nominated, candidates will have until the date listed above to complete a separate candidate form. This still applies if you self-nominated. Candidates will receive an email from email@example.com with instrucitons on how to complete the form. If you did not recieve the instructions, you can go to this link and login to an existing account or create a new one. From here, if you were nominated, you should be able to complete your canidate form.
